A Japamala Rudraksha is a sacred string of 108 beads, plus the "guru bead". It is made from dried seeds of the Rudraksha tree (Elaeocarpus ganitrus), used in Hinduism and Buddhism for mantra repetition (japa) to focus the mind, deepen meditation, and foster spiritual growth, symbolizing inner peace and connection to Lord Shiva. These natural beads have unique grooves, known as 'mukhis,' each carrying distinct energies, and are used for chanting, wearing for protection, or as a meaningful spiritual accessory, with authenticity crucial for their potent effects.
It represents the cyclic nature of the universe and the journey to merge with the Universal Self, with each bead symbolizing different births or bodies. It connects the wearer to Lord Shiva, earning it names like "Shiva Yoga Mala" and is often worn for protections and healing.
