Cathy Gnatek, our astrologer, is offering classes as well as readings! Here are the upcoming classes: 

October 18: Relationship Astrology: Understanding How Charts Connect
Ever wonder why you instantly click with some people — and clash with others?
Relationship astrology, also called “synastry,” looks at how two birth charts interact and
can offer insight into emotional needs, communication styles, attraction, conflict,
support, and the patterns that show up between people.
In this class, Cathy will walk through simple, real-life examples of how charts connect.
We’ll look at what can create chemistry, what can lead to misunderstandings, and how
different people show care, need space, or grow through relationships. This isn’t about
deciding whether a relationship is “meant to be” or not — it’s about getting a clearer
read on the dynamics so you can meet yourself and others with more awareness.
We’ll also chat about the upcoming Venus retrograde from October 3 to November 14,
2026, beginning in Scorpio and moving back into Libra. This can be an intense period
for revisiting intimacy, desire, values, attachment, old relationship patterns, and the
ways we connect.
Bring your birth information — date, time, and location — and the birth date of a partner,

The Moon in Your Birth Chart: November 8
Most people know their Sun sign. It’s usually the first thing we learn in astrology. But the
Moon can feel a lot more personal. It describes the softer, more private parts of us: how
we feel, what we need, how we respond when we’re tired or overwhelmed, what helps
us feel cared for, and the habits we fall back on without even thinking.
In this class, Cathy will talk about what the Moon means in a birth chart and how to start
interpreting it by sign, house, and aspects. We’ll look at the Moon as an indicator of
emotional needs, family patterns, instinctive reactions, comfort, memory, and the body’s
rhythms.
We’ll also talk about why the Moon is especially important for people born at night. In
Hellenistic and traditional astrology, the Moon is the “sect light" for night charts, which
means it can play a particularly central role in understanding the chart as a whole.
Bring your birth information — date, time, and location — or a copy of your chart if you
have one. We’ll use participant charts as examples if people are comfortable sharing.
If there’s time, we’ll also talk about the Moon’s phase in the birth chart. Were you born
near a New Moon, a First Quarter Moon, a Full Moon, or during the waning half of the

cycle? The natal Moon phase can add another layer to understanding your
temperament, your timing, and how you move through change.
This class is for everyone — beginners are welcome, and folks who already know a lot
about astrology will have room to ask deeper questions and make more detailed
connections.

December 13: The Astrology of 2027
2027 has a lot going on astrologically. In this class, Cathy will give an overview of the
major transits of the year and some of the bigger themes they bring up, both collectively
and in our individual charts.
We’ll talk about Pluto in Aquarius, Saturn in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, and Jupiter
moving from Leo into Virgo. These are the kinds of transits that shape the background
of a year — what feels pressured, what’s changing, what’s asking for attention, and
where there may be room for growth.
We’ll also talk about the eclipses of 2027 and how to think about them in a useful, not
overly dramatic way. The goal isn’t to predict exactly what will happen, but to get a
clearer sense of the astrological weather and how it might show up in real life.

have one. If we use participant charts, we’ll keep it simple and choose one major 2027
transit to look at: where it falls in your chart, what part of life it may be activating, and
what it might be asking you to notice.
No advanced astrology background needed. This class is for anyone who wants a
grounded look at the year ahead.
