LINDA “MOONRABBIT” ZLOTNICK’s Star Sisters: An Astrologer’s Memoir of Twin Loss recounts the remarkable and gripping story of how this professional astrologer dealt with the illness and death of her identical twin sister, Lou Ann. Informed by her knowledge, Linda’s book explores themes of twin connections and twin loss, fate and free will, and how we know what we know. She writes of premonitions and dreams, the unique bond with her sister, and how holding her hand over Lou Ann’s heart at the moment of death leaves her own life changed forever.
Moon will be reading from her memoir and taking questions from the listening audience afterward.
As Alison Bechdel, author of The New York Times bestseller Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic, wrote of Linda’s book: “(It) is an astrological mystery, an anatomy of grief, and a thoughtful exploration of the complicated individuation that twins must navigate. But most of all, it’s a story about making sense of loss, and of how two wounded healers learn to transform their own pain to help others. By looking deeply at death, this moving memoir unlocks what life has to teach us.”
