7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Hekate's chthonic aspect is sometimes glossed over by modern practitioners, but this 90-minute workshop will celebrate the grave-goddess of late antiquity who served as psychopomp to departed souls. By reviewing the spirit-conjurations found in the classic art and ancient spells, the essential elements of raising the dead will be identified and examined. This workshop will culminate in an actual necromantic rite from the Greek Magical Papyri, in which attendees may participate. Study materials provided.
