Joe had a drinking problem. The possible demise of his television talk show and the end of his career had tilted a very big bottle of Old Mystery into his guts. Now he was having trouble telling where the hallucinations ended and reality began. Were the sex-obsessed cultists he was investigating on the show really bringing on the End of the World?
Joe climbed out of the hole into the gray light of a stormy afternoon. Nothing was going as planned. He still hadn't gotten his girlfriend, the goddess, into bed. The aliens never arrived and Elvis hadn't returned. Up on the stage, robed magicians toting automatic weapons called down unspeakable things from the sky. A crowd of a million people was beginning to riot. And Joe knew that it was up to him, the most famous man in the world, to save the day and bring forth the Great Purple Hoo-Ha - if he could only figure out what the heck it was."

The magic of the Necronomicon is based on dreams, visions and transmissions from planes and dimensions beyond the world as we know it, channeled and earthed by sensitive individuals. The power of this mythical tome lies in its intangibility and mysteriousness - it is a book with limitless potential, a volume that has never been completed and is continuously writing itself through the hands of those who receive its gnosis. "Necronomicon Gnosis: A Practical Introduction" thoroughly explores this magical tradition, discussing the lore of the Cthulhu Mythos from the perspective of a practitioner, providing applicable methods of work, both for beginners and advanced magicians. It presents basic magical concepts and techniques of their practical use within the context of the Necronomicon Gnosis: pacts and ceremonies, astral journeys, dream magic, scrying and travelling through gateways to interstellar dimensions, evocations, invocations, sex magic, self-initiation, shape-shifting, necromancy, the art of sacrifice, and many others. These techniques allow for a shift of consciousness in which we are able to experience the energies of the Great Old Ones that are normally inaccessible to our mundane perception. These primal beings, ever-changing and mutable, represent the evolutionary potential of the human mind - what we may become if we manage to transgress the limitations of human nature. First published in 2007, the original version of the book has been revised, expanded and updated. New chapters were added, containing texts and rituals previously published in various journals and magazines, as well as completely new, unpublished essays and practices.

Written in a clear and easily accessible style it examines the theory behind many techniques used in magical, artistic, religious and scientific systems of thought; then links and applies them towards desired goals.
