To best ensure your spot in one of our many events or classes, please register for classes at least 24 hours piror to the start of class. Teachers are allowed to cancel class if there no sign-ups 24 hours before class start.
August 1st 6:00PM - 7:30PM Herbs have been used to improve women’s health for centuries. Even when the allopathic, or standard medicine has told us that women are crazy, herbalists have listened and found remedies that work with the body to improve PMS, pregnancy and childbirth, menopause, and other health issues that are unique to women. Come and learn how herbs can help you and women you know lead happier, healthier lives.
August 2nd 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Astrology isn’t always about your destiny. Interpreting your natal chart can lead you to identify current patterns of behavior that are both helpful and distressing. Sometimes these ingrained habits and astrological predispositions cause us grief, but that doesn’t mean we’ve lost control of our lives. Knowing is half the battle. In this one hour class, you will learn the basic anatomy of the astrological chart: the houses, the signs, and the planets. You will also be given the chance to journal and meditate on several of these aspects, giving you a deeper sense of the work at hand. Prepare for greater self-awareness, self-possession, and more chances to get what you want out of life.
September 7th 12:00PM - 5:00PM A beginner’s class meant to establish and develop a strong foundation in Reiki practices. In this course, students are introduced to basic Reiki principles, concepts, terminology, treatment-methods, and history.
August 5th August 26th FREE Come for an hour of meditation and energy exchange with the use of a crystal sound bowl. The meditation session will be lead by Anna Fitzer, who has been practicing numerous methods of meditation for over a decade. Meditation can increase focus and motivation throughout life. For in on our greatest intentions and desires, progress and happiness await. In this class, we will work on channeling these desires and projecting our actions forward into the future
August 8th 6:00PM - 7:00PM Chamomile just not cutting it? Waking up in the middle of the night? Learn alternatives to Chamomile and stinky Valerian from Liz Johnson, herbalist. Go from waking in the night, falling asleep too late, or waking up too early, to enjoying a great night's sleep. Basic recipes will be shared and take-home samples will be available at no extra cost.
August 10th 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM FREE The MN Folk Magic Society discussion group focuses on folk traditions and eclectic practices from around the globe including Hoodoo, Rootwork, Trolldom, Pow-wow, Chaos Magic, Witchcraft, Sorcery, and Divination. Presentation on a topic is usually followed by a hands-on activity and discussion. All are welcome!

From their images gracing our government buildings to their myths being reworked into the newest movies and our favorite television shows. You can hardly go a day without confronting one of these ancient heroes oror gods. But have you wondered where they came from? In this one hour class, you will hear these entertaining and timeless storie told from their original context, and using the primary sources. Gain inspiration from these age old tales, increase your knowledge, or just come enjoy the creation of the world and events thereafter, as told by one of the world’s ancient cultures.

At times thought to be the sole province of women, herbs are becoming as much a man’s pursuit as a woman’s. Come and learn how herbs can help you and men you know lead happier, healthier lives.
September 13th 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Free Join Markus Ironwood in the Magus Books classroom as we come together to honor and celebrate the Full Moon in Pisces. This ritual will involve honoring calling in the moon through guided meditation. A reading of the Homeric Hymn to Selene will be followed a ritual and extended guided and silent mediation.
