Excerpt from the editorial by Lucy Cavendish:The Law of Creation… welcome, dear reader and seeker, to the Spellcraft edition of arts and the Craft. Artists, mystics, musicians, poets, shapers of form and many talented beings of magick have all come together in this beautiful edition to delight and inspire you to explore and relish the magick inherent as you walk your own Pagan path.

Pagans are by definition creative people - we work with the tattered and beautiful remnants of nature worship and magick from the deepest traditions of the world. We recreate rituals, spells and ceremonies that have deep meaning for us, transforming our daily lives into ones of wonder and connection with the terrestrial and celestial worlds.

And within every person is a creator – an ability to shape into form what begins as dreams, ideas and fragments of imagination. When we become the creative soul we all are, we shape these wisps of mist and smoke into paintings, stories, sculpture, music, poetry, garments or crafts that can connect and create bonds between people who have never met.

So, as you go through and gasp in amazement at the beauty of the works within these pages, know too that you are a being of creativity and be urged and encouraged by all you see or read, this edition of Spellcraft, to open yourself up to the power and enchantment of creativity. Work your own magick, be it ever so small, and shape a story to tell your children: write a spell to share at circle, draw a being you see with your spirit vision and share these. As you do so, the world around us changes, because the Law of Creativity is so powerful that you then tap into more and more power.
In perfect love and perfect trust,
Lucy Cavendish )O(
