Author: Abel, R.C. & Hare, W.L.

In the earliest egyptian legends, thoth was an advocate and friend of horus, the secretary of osiris and the scribe of ra, the sun god. He is the lord of laws and literature, a magician and physician, the deity of the dead, of agriculture and the calendar.
