Caulophyllum thalictriodes, or blue cohosh, is a beautiful woodland plant that has been overharvested, this is an important herb when nothing else will work well. All of the purple coloring found in this plant is associated with the Moon…the color of tranquility, pain relief, sleep, fertility, child birth, the breasts, stomach, and fluids of the body. Blue cohosh has a reputation as an herb that calms the reproductive system, muscles, and blood system. A traditional remedy for issues like depression, nervousness, lack of a period and painful periods, along with many other health issues, this is powerful that should be used with respect. It should never be used in pregnancy except under the supervision of a trained professional. It may effect people with heart disease or high blood pressure adversely.
