Die im Ruhrgebiet beheimatete Dark Folk Band Aeldaborn existiert bereits seit 10 Jahren und ist durch ihre Festivalauftritte mit Bands wie Sol Invictus, Hekate oder Sieben so wie ihrem im Eigenvertrieb erschienene Mini-CD The Serpent Drum vorrangig dem Neofolk/Industrial-Publikum ein fester Begriff.

Nach ausführlicher Reifezeit liegt nun endlich das lang erwartete Debütalbum vor. Akustische Gitarren, martialische Trommeln und eine weihevolle Stimmung bilden das musikalische Grundgerüst; inhaltlich wird sowohl Heinrich Heine („Wir Weben") als auch der nordische Mythos („The Descent Of Odin") thematisiert; wenn auch vorrangig eigene Texte genutzt werden, so kommt auch Aleister Crowley zum Zug und Frater Eremor (NEW rAGE PROJECT) ist als Gast ebenfalls zu hören.

Da sich fünf der Bandmitglieder auch als Sänger betätigen, ist für viel Abwechslung gesorgt. Eine musikalische Reise, die mit lagerfeuertauglichen Balladen beginnt, über okkulte Ritualmusik führt und bei martialischen Trommeln endet – Für Anhänger von Bands wie Blood Axis, Current 93 oder Sturmpercht ein Muss!
