Ayahuasca, a visionary and healing plant medicine, has been used by Amazonian shamans for millennia. These indigenous ayahuasca songs were recorded live in the Peruvian Amazon jungle by an ayahuasquero (shaman) from the small jungle town of Tamshiyacu, Peru. For 70 continuous minutes, accompanied with a fan of dried leaves called a chacapa, Vasquez sings traditional and sacred songs to create an environment of healing and protection for the participants in the ceremony.
