Hunter, Robert
In 1971, Hunter and a small group of other activists boarded a small fishing boat they named the Greenpeace and sailed for the island of Amchitka, where the U.S. was conducting underground nuclear tests. Ultimately the protest failed, beset by bad weather, interpersonal tension and conflicts with officials. And yet the legacy of that voyage lives on in the work of Greenpeace, with a presence in over 40 countries and a place in the annals of environmental activism. With 40 b - w photographs taken during the voyage by Robert Keziere.
