The birth of Eco the Otter.
In 1989 my family and I moved from our homestate of Illinois to Santa Fe, New Mexico. What a beautiful place.My heroes in life are Mark Twain, John Wayne and Superman and it always has been my intention to write the next "Wizard of Oz" with a Twainian style. Santa Fe is called the Land of Enchantment and really does tend to bring out the best in artists and creative types of all kinds. "'Cause an Otter Told Me" was written as a bedtime story for my daughter Danielle and was never meant to be submitted for possible print or audio. Although I truly love the story it is not what I expect to be my "Wizard of Oz" but I hope that those who hear it can feel just a little of the magic that was going through my head when I wrote it. A word on the production and production quality. This production was made in a small studio w/ limited time, equiptment and money but the actors involved really put their hearts into the story and I believe that you can hear this in the audiobook. P.S. My brother Ken wrote and sang the theme song "Whatever it Takes to Make a Dream Come True". To anyone that reads this or hears the audiobook; Thank you very much for your interest and ...."listen to a good book soon!" S.K
